Quarterly Council Meetings
The Iowa Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) holds Full Council meetings four times each year. Three meetings are conducted virtually, and one meeting is held in a hybrid format during the Council's annual board training retreat in October.
Guests are welcome to attend all Council meetings. Guest participation is only available virtually.
SPIL Development Meetings
In addition to the regular Full Council meetings, the Iowa SILC will be conducting a series of meetings to develop the 2028–2030 State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL). Stakeholders, partners, and members of the disability community are encouraged to participate in the planning process. Each meeting will be offered online and accessible for public comment in the last 15 minutes of the meeting or contribute to our survey at your convenience: https://
